As a member of the Avets team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of providing 24/7 compassionate care for pets and the people who love them in our area.

Our Housekeeping and Supply Attendants are responsible for ensuring the hospital is clean and effectively stocked. They report to the Inventory Coordinator and also assist with inventory counts and replenishment for all departments.

The schedule consists of 4 ten-hour shifts inclusive of an equal share of both weekend and holiday shifts. Day, evening, and overnight shifts are currently open as we expand our support team and prepare for a move to a larger facility.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Remain calm and efficient in a high-stress environment
  • Work with fellow team members to maintain a productive, positive, and respectful environment

Applicants must be able to stand, bend, lift, and/or kneel for the duration of a shift (ten hours) and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.

Job Type: Full-time, 4 ten-hour shifts/week inclusive of a weekend day.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning such as but not limited to vacuuming, spot cleaning walls, furniture, and fixtures, drapes, blinds, and interior glass.
  • Restroom cleaning: Using a germicide, clean and sanitize toilets and urinals, spot clean walls and partitions, and clean and rinse sinks and counters. Using a standard glass cleaner, clean mirrors, glass, and stainless steel. Also, responsible for dusting, sweeping, emptying trash, restocking supplies, and mopping floors.
  • Area cleaning: responsible for vacuuming large carpeted areas, dusting and mopping floors, and cleaning entrance mats.
  • Other duties, as required.

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, (CARE, RPM, GCPM), meeting rooms, and/or public spaces as required, including flipping/inspecting mattresses, box springs and assembling bed frames, vacuuming behind and underneath furniture, spot cleaning carpets and upholstery, dusting, touch-up painting, touch-up furniture ensuring that all necessary hardware and appliances are present in the room and in working order, replacing light fixtures, and inspecting and repairing grout and caulking.
